Goal 1 – To develop a strategic learning framework that aligns with organisational goals, addressing both current and future learning needs in my professional context.

Goal 2 – To critically analyse the organisational landscape, identifying key factors that influence learning strategy design, including leadership dynamics, cultural influences, and systemic challenges.

Goal 3 – To apply evidence-informed approaches to develop a learning strategy that enhances staff capacity, student outcomes, and school-wide professional development.

Goal 4 – To refine communication skills by presenting strategic learning plans using diverse formats and technologies, ensuring engagement with a broad range of stakeholders.

Linking Statement

These goals align with my Professional Context Statement as an Inclusion Teacher preparing for leadership by ensuring that learning strategies are strategic, evidence-based, and impactful. They also connect with my Course Learning Goals, particularly in developing strategic, data-informed approaches that improve staff capacity and student engagement.

This subject expands on my prior learning by shifting the focus from leading innovation to evaluating and embedding learning strategies within an organisational context. By integrating strategic planning with practical implementation, I am developing the skills needed to drive sustainable educational improvements as a future school leader.

Wrapping Up & Progression from Prior Learning

014162 Strategic Learning in Workplaces has been a pivotal subject in my leadership journey, enabling me to synthesise my learning from previous units into a cohesive, strategic approach to whole-school improvement. Building on my innovation work in 014226 and evaluation skills from 014227, this subject empowered me to design and lead a sustainable learning strategy grounded in inclusive education and differentiation. I have critically analysed the organisational context of my school, aligned strategic goals with departmental policy, and applied models such as PLST, ADKAR, and the 4I framework to embed systemic change. This subject has deepened my understanding of how to lead learning in complex environments, reinforcing my aspiration to become a school leader who fosters collaboration, builds staff capacity, and drives long-term improvement through thoughtful, strategic action.
